Welsh Salmon and Trout Angling Association

The Welsh Salmon & Trout Angling Association (WSTAA) is Governing Body for Game Angling in Wales. It is a democratic organisation based on angling clubs & regional structures and is managed by angling club representatives. It has representatives on many Fishery Committees and has Sports Council recognition and representation. It has representation on major angling organisation in the U.K. including the Moran Committee and has links with most national angling governing bodies world over. It has organised two major World Fly Fishing Championships and the 2002 Commonwealth championship in Wales. Today WSTAA is recognised in the Assembly as the Body speaking for Welsh Game Angling and has regular meetings with the Agricultural Minister.
